These images were taken by activists at a slaughterhouse in Whanganui. Look into these pigs eyes. Can’t you see their fear? Can’t you see that each one is not a commodity but a someone, a living, feeling, individual? Do you really want to pay for them to be killed?
These pigs will go into this slaughterhouse and be bullied onto the kill floor and stabbed in the throat. How can this be seen as anything but horrific? They are just babies. Just like your dog or cat. Completely innocent. And if you’ve ever been outside a pig slaughterhouse you’d know their screams are absolutely haunting. They scream for their lives, and they sound no different from humans. Why would you want this to happen to them?
